fleet business improvement district

Fleet Business Improvement District (BID) represents the 300 businesses in central Fleet. Fleet BID is funded and led by these businesses  delivering events and activities to support local businesses and make Fleet a great place to live, shop, work and do business. Fleet BID also fund the Christmas lights and summer baskets from Kings Road to the station.

The Lions is the largest voluntary organisation in the world with every penny collected spent on community projects. Fleet Lions have approx 40 members who all live in the Fleet area and come from all walks of life. Activities and events include Fleet Fireworks, Beer Festival, Community Store, Diabetes awareness, prostate cancer screening, Christmas concert, Christmas float, Wenclesas project, Spectrek, Funfest and Lions Den.

With thanks to Fleet Lions for their support for the event by organising the road closure and providing volunteers on the day.

Fleet Town Council provides facilities and amenities for local residents and manage The Harlington, Ancell’s Community Centre, five parks in Fleet and their associated playgrounds (Ancells Farm Park, Calthorpe Park, Basingbourne Park, Oakley Park and The Views Park, the two playgrounds in Edenbrook), Fleet Cemetery, footpaths and public areas in Fleet as well as Calthorpe Park Tennis Courts.

With thanks to thank Fleet Town Council for their support of this event, organising the activities in Gurkha Square and The Harlington as well as funding the Christmas lights in the town centre. 

hart district council

Hart District Council's offices are in Fleet and Hart District Council are responsibilities including Building Control, CCTV, Car Parking and Fines, Council Tax, Gypsies and Travellers, Leisure Centres, Licensing, Noise Pollution, Pest Control, Planning, Recycling / Refuse /Special Collections, Street Cleaning / Litter, Flytipping, Taxi/Private Hire Licensing and Countryside Services across the district.

hart shopping centre

In the centre of Fleet, Hart Shopping Centre has a mix of national brands and independent retailers. There is parking for 520 cars in the car park accessible from Albert Street.
