Not long now until this year's Fleet Christmas Festival where there will be lots of fun for all ages including: 
- market stalls, along Fleet Road selling lots of festive food and crafts, although fewer than previous years to allow for social distancing
- the Christmas lights switch on in Gurkha Square at 6.30pm by Santa and the cast of this year's Panto at The Harlington, Sleeping Beauty
- Carol singing and entertainment in Gurkha Square will be back with a flourish
- A warm welcome in the Hart Shopping Centre with a free glass wine and mince pie as well as a craft market.

Fleet Town Council''s 2020 Virtual lights switch on



Pedlars are warned that this is a community event, run by volunteers and is rigorously monitored by Trading Standards and the Police. Any pedlar who does attend must hold, and be prepared to show, a valid Pedlars Certificate and follow the law as set out in the Pedlars Act 1871 and 1881. If pedlars abuse the terms of their certificate, they will be reported to the Police. If pedlars are suspected for selling illegal or poor quality goods then they will be immediately reported to Trading Standards. Pedlars are not permitted to remain in a fixed location and must be continually on the move, stopping only to make a sale. Pedlars must also have and have present a valid Public Liability insurance exceeding £5,000,000 and adhere to Covid recommendations which includes wearing a face mask at all times.
